Kadam Haat

Kadam is an organization committed to the empowerment of rural communities in India. The artisans associated with Kadam are exceptionally skilled and work towards creating products that promote mindfulness and soulfulness in people's homes. Kadam's primary mission is to foster opportunities for local artisans from various rural sectors of India, allowing them to transform their craftsmanship into practical homeware items such as baskets, mats, trays, and more. These products are crafted using locally sourced and sustainable materials, including Sabaii grass, bamboo, wicker, and others, reflecting a deep inspiration drawn from nature.

Kadam takes pride in its ethical production practices and its dedication to preserving the environment. The organization has forged partnerships with over a thousand artisans, with a significant majority being women. Kadam has also played a pivotal role in establishing self-sustaining craft clusters in regions such as West Bengal, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, and Kashmir within India, furthering its mission of empowerment and sustainability.
